In January of 2022, H.O.P.E. For Tomorrow began sponsoring the Adenkrebi Basic School Nutrition Initiative. Through the Initiative, our generous donors helped us raise $24,920.73

H.O.P.E. For Tomorrow was also able to:

  • Feed 307 students between January 2022 - June 2023,

  • Added protein and vegetables to K-Primary School student meals (added to starch and stew they received before the start of the Initiative),

  • Hire more than 5 community members to assist with farming, cooking for Junior High School students, and the building of a poultry farm, and

  • Sponsor a school garden where harvested crops are used for school lunches,

  • Donate 178 lunch boxes and water bottles, and

  • Contribute towards a water structure for the garden.

The school had a 23% increase in school registration within 6 months of initiative implementation. It was also reported that class attendance improved because students were receiving meals 5 days a week.
