Effective Date: 5/1/2025
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your participation in travel programs organized by Helping Other People Excel for Tomorrow Inc. ("H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow") and Hope Beyond Borders ("we," "us," or "our"). By registering for a trip, paying a deposit, or participating in our programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Program Participation
Participants must be at least 18 years old at the time of travel unless otherwise approved in writing.
Participants agree to conduct themselves respectfully and responsibly, abiding by local laws, cultural customs, and the policies outlined by program staff.
2. Deposits and Program Fees
A deposit and/or full program fee is required to confirm participation.
All deposits and program fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, regardless of the reason for cancellation or inability to attend.
Failure to pay the balance in full by the stated deadline for your program may result in forfeiture of your place on the trip without refund.
3. Changes and Cancellations
We reserve the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel any trip due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, political instability, pandemics, travel bans, or insufficient participant enrollment.
In the event of a cancellation initiated by us, participants will have the option to:
Apply paid funds toward a future trip within 12 months, or
Receive a partial refund, minus any unrecoverable costs.
4. Travel Requirements
Participants are solely responsible for securing all necessary travel documents, including passports, visas, vaccinations, and complying with health and safety requirements.
Failure to obtain required documents will not constitute grounds for a refund.
5. Insurance
We strongly recommend all participants purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, trip interruption, medical emergencies, and evacuation.
We are not liable for any loss, theft, injury, illness, or damage sustained during travel.
6. Health and Safety
By registering, participants affirm they are physically capable of participating in the trip activities.
Participants must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations that could impact their participation.
In the case of a medical emergency, we may arrange emergency treatment and evacuation at the participant’s expense if deemed necessary.
7. Code of Conduct
Participants agree to:
Respect the cultures, customs, and people of the host communities.
Follow the direction and instructions of program leaders and staff.
Avoid engaging in illegal, disruptive, or dangerous behavior. We reserve the right to remove any participant from the trip at their own expense if their behavior is deemed harmful or disruptive.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow and Hope Beyond Borders shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, or other irregularity arising from acts or omissions of any third party or from circumstances beyond our control.
9. Media Release
By participating, you grant us permission to use photographs, video, and written testimonials of you from the trip for promotional purposes without compensation.
10. Agreement to Terms
By registering and making any payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.
