H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow is implementing The Nutrition Initiative at our flagship school, Hour of Grace Educational Complex. Hour of Grace is located in the rural, Western Region of Ghana. Pastor Michael Nkrumah started Hour of Grace after seeing the need for a school in his community and surrounding areas. With his salary as a pastor, and his wife’s (Sarah Nkrumah) salary as a teacher, they started the school.

The school currently holds 259 students, and more than 70 students have been identified by a nutritionist as being acutely malnourished. H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow has helped the school in the past and is working towards doing as much as we are able to, to help.

H.O.P.E. For Tomorrow will:

  • Provide free lunch to students from August 2023 - December 2024,

  • Implement a nutrition education program for students who will educate community members in return,

  • Hire community members to assist with farming and cooking,

  • Sponsor a school garden where harvested crops are used for school lunches, and

  • Work towards developing a protein project.

We are also hoping to assist with the building of a kitchen for the school and area where children can eat. H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow is implementing the Initiative with the help of Healthmates Nutrition.
