On October 15, 2023, H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow launched Mission: Spread Hope, Give Love in North America. With the help of our donors, partners Faith In Action Ministries and FAME Church International), and sponsors (Keenan & Co. Cleaning, LLC and Helping Hands of America), we were able to distribute meals to 148 homeless people living in Washington, DC. We were also able to donate 120 toiletry bags, blankets, coats, shoes, socks, and clothes. This took place at Asbury United Methodist Church whose partnership with DC BIDS/ Downtown Day Services Center supports unhoused families.

The event was the start of our service in North America where we plan to serve more meals, goods, and clothing to the unhoused and underserved.

Providing Meals for Students in DC

Prior to being formally created, current board members and donors adopted a class at an all girls school in Southeast, Washington, D.C. Each student was provided with baskets filled with food supplies and hats and gloves. Donors also purchased a Christmas gift for each student and donated a financial contribution for the teacher. With enough resources, H.O.P.E. for Tomorrow plans to distribute more meals for students from underserved communities during summer and winter break.
